What we collect, why we collect it, and what we will never do with it. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

01Who we are

Unbound Fitness & Martial Arts ("Unbound", "we", "us") operates a fitness and martial arts facility at 2F Vertex Corporate Center, 128 Katipunan Avenue, Project 4, Quezon City, 1109 Metro Manila, and this website. We are the personal information controller for the data described in this policy, and we process it in accordance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules.

02What we collect

We keep it minimal. Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Membership records: name, contact details, birthdate, emergency contact, government ID type presented at signup.
  • Health declarations: injuries, conditions and physician clearances you disclose on your waiver, used solely to keep your training safe.
  • Payment records: what you paid, when, and by which method. We never store card numbers; terminals are operated by our payment providers.
  • Attendance logs: check-in times, used for capacity planning and your own visit history on request.
  • CCTV footage on the training floor and entrances, retained for 30 days for safety and security.

This website itself collects nothing personal. There are no analytics trackers, no advertising pixels and no forms that transmit data. The only things stored on your device are two functional preferences (visual fidelity mode and whether you have already seen the loading screen), which never leave your browser.

03How we use it

  • To run your membership: access, renewals, freezes and receipts.
  • To keep you safe: coaches are briefed on relevant health disclosures on a need-to-know basis.
  • To contact you about schedule changes, closures or billing, using the channel you gave us.
  • To meet legal, tax and audit obligations.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Ever. We do not send marketing messages unless you have opted in at the desk, and every marketing message includes a way out.

04CCTV and photography

The training floor, entrances and parking access are covered by CCTV for the safety of members and staff. Footage is stored securely, reviewed only in response to incidents, and deleted on a rolling 30-day cycle unless required for an investigation. Marketing photography and videography inside the gym happens only on announced days, and you can always opt out by telling any staff member.

05Who we share it with

Only with parties we need to run the business, and only the minimum they need:

  • Payment providers, to process the transaction you initiated.
  • Our accountant and auditors, for financial records required by law.
  • Law enforcement or regulators, when a lawful order compels us.
  • Emergency responders and your emergency contact, if something happens to you while training.

06How long we keep it

Membership records are retained for the duration of your membership plus five years, matching tax and liability requirements. Health declarations are destroyed two years after your membership ends. CCTV rolls over every 30 days. You can ask us to delete your records earlier wherever the law allows it.

07Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you may, at any time:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy.
  • Correct anything inaccurate or outdated.
  • Object to processing, or withdraw consent you previously gave.
  • Ask for deletion or blocking of data we no longer have grounds to keep.
  • Complain to the National Privacy Commission if you believe we mishandled your data.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@unboundfitness.ph or ask at the front desk. We respond within 15 working days.

08Security

Membership records live in an access-controlled system available only to staff who need them. Paper waivers are stored in a locked cabinet and digitized within a week. Staff sign confidentiality undertakings as part of their contracts, and access is revoked on their last day.

09Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in any way that matters, we will post the new version here, update the effective date above, and put a notice at the front desk for 30 days. Continued use of the facility after that period means you accept the updated policy.
